If you have spent any time on this site you will know that I LOVE tequila. There is something a little "magical", or potion-esque, slightly spirit-ed about it. Tequila excites me; stirs my soul and seduces me...everytime.
Mexico is one of my favorite places on earth. The people, the food and the fiesta make it an enchanting destination. I long for lazy days by the sea...fish tacos...ice cold Pacificos and hopefully some hot guy speaking to me in Spanish.
Drinking this margarita just takes me there.....
A Perfect Margarita
I serve my margaritas "up" in martini glasses.
[provisions]
Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into chilled martini glass.
*Simple Syrup: Heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a pan until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool. Place in a clean container in the refrigerator. This will last for 1 week.
